HOW ELSE CAN I GET INVOLVED?
Contact City Council Members
Local politics are the most accessible and least attended. At the City level, you can have the greatest impact. Council members generally want to do right by their constituents, but they receive input from a scant minority. If you live in Livermore, you can find your council member with this map:
Here is their contact information:
Attend City Meetings
For every City meeting, there is an open forum where you can speak about just about anything. Then you can comment before any agenda item about that specific topic.
Read the agenda before and come with the item number, which you will write down on a comment card at the meeting and give to the clerk.
What you may ask of them is up to you!
You may get more ideas as you stay abreast of local news, preview agendas, and begin attending meetings.
The Livermore City Council convenes a few Monday evenings a month - you can find the times and agendas here:
Participate in Advisory Bodies
Another really good way to get involved in City government is participating in Livermore's advisory bodies!
Livermore residents can volunteer their time to help steer their city toward a future they can be proud of. Start by just attending their meetings, and soon you’ll be in a great place to be appointed to any vacancies!
